Northern Territory Public Holiday Information

In the Northern Territory there are a number of regional public holidays that are observed for local show holidays only in certain areas. Those regions include Borroloola, Alice Springs, Tennant Creek, Katherine and Darwin.

The Northern Territory has a unique public holiday called Picnic Day. Picnic Day is held on the first Monday of August each year. The Harts Range annual races fall on this long weekend each year.
